Judy Austin
Lead & Backup Vocalist

After having been out for about a year, Judy is back, stronger than ever!  Her soulful sound is one that everyone applauds.  Judy started singing and playing piano at a very young age cheered on and mentored by her mother.  She loves to sing and play.  In addition to her full time job, Judy is Minister of Music for the church she attends, and she still finds time to sing with Soul Tyme Band. 

Chris Davis
Bass Guitar

 

Chris, an original member the band, has played in several bands over the past 20 years and has strong blues, southern rock as well as blue grass influences. Chris is a versatile musician who plays guitar in addition to bass.

           

Darell Davis
Guitar

 

Darell grew up listening to R&B, and oldies.  He has played in various bands for over 30 years.  He is a founding member of Soul Tyme.

Greg Davis
Drums

 

Greg has played drums in various bands since high school playing top forty, country, and oldies.  He has been involved in several studio projects and has sat in with some top regional acts.  Greg is also a founding member of Soul Tyme.

John Davis
Keyboard

John is an accomplished and versatile musician who has also played with various bands for 30+ years, including one with Greg and Darell in their earlier years.  He also contributes to vocals when needed.     

Ruth Davis
Back Up vocalist & percussion


Ruth grew up singing mainly gospel, but listening to and loving oldies of the ‘50s & ‘60s.  She has been with the band since its inception.

Bryan Hurrell

Sax, flute, lead and backup vocalist

 

Bryan is our most versatile musician, both instrumentally and vocally.  In a word: talent!  He has performed with many bands from New York to Florida. We are very fortunate to have him as a member.  He has been with Soul Tyme since its origination.

Greg Day

Trumpet

 

Greg is a talented musician and instructor. He is music director at Southern Wesleyan University and writes all the horn charts for the band. He has been with the group since 2004.
